We're removing 10 more level crossings by 2025, bringing the total to 85 level crossings gone for good.

We're closing the level crossing at Progress Street, Dandenong South.

There have been five near misses at this crossing since 2012.

We’ll investigate opportunities for a new connection to the South Gippsland Highway.

The closure of this level crossing will help to create a level crossing-free Pakenham line which will change how locals live, work and travel.

With no level crossings on the train line, journeys on the Pakenham line will be faster and local roads safer.

On behalf of the Victorian Government, the Level Crossing Removal Project is removing 85 dangerous and congested level crossings across Melbourne by 2025.
