The Level Crossing Removal Project is overseeing the upgrade of Oakleigh Station to reinvigorate the station precinct and make it easier for people to get around.

The project includes a modern upgrade of the existing pedestrian underpass, redesigned ramps and installation of lifts, new lighting, CCTV, new canopies and direct access to city-bound trains from Haughton Road.

The new brighter and safer underpass can now be used to access platform 1 and Haughton Road. Works continue on new lifts, canopies to shield commuters from the weather, and a landscaped station forecourt for commuters to enjoy.

Major works will be complete by mid 2020 and will not impact train services.
