The Level Crossing Removal Authority will be overseeing the new Frankston Station at the same time as working to remove the dangerous Skye/Overton Road level crossing just down the road.
Running these two projects at the same time will minimise disruption to rail users.
The station will provide a better travel experience with new buildings, comfortable waiting rooms, improved lighting, security cameras and additional passenger seating.
Station platforms will be raised to ensure a smoother transition on and off the trains for all members of the community.

Full steam ahead for the new Frankston Station
Frankston’s new train station is a step closer, with work on the multimillion dollar transformation to kick off this month and be complete by the end of 2018.
