Works have started to build a brand new Merinda Park Station as part of the Cranbourne Line Upgrade.
Designed to accommodate duplicated tracks, the new station will have two new platforms, more shelter and better layout.
Commuters will be able to access the station via lifts, ramps and stairs and there will be a new direct entrance from the eastern (Endeavour Drive) side.
The new station will improve connectivity to local schools, parks and shops thanks to a new pedestrian walkway to be built under the tracks
Secure bicycle storage will be a new feature of the rebuilt Merinda Park Station, making it easier to get to the station by bike.
The new Merinda Park Station will be complete by early 2023, together works to duplicate the track between Cranbourne and Dandenong.
