The brand-new Merinda Park Station is now open, well ahead of the original 2023 completion date.
Rebuilt as part of the Cranbourne Line Upgrade, Merinda Park Station has been transformed into a modern station with duplicated tracks, two new platforms, more shelter and better layout.
Commuters can access the station via lifts, ramps and stairs and there is a new direct entrance from the eastern (Endeavour Drive) side.
The new station improves connectivity to local schools, parks and shops thanks to a new pedestrian walkway built under the tracks.
Secure bicycle storage, CCTV cameras and more lighting have also been installed to improve safety for commuters.
Work is now underway to complete a new 4.25-kilometre shared cycling and pedestrian path, which will connect Lynbrook, Merinda Park and Cranbourne stations.
