We're removing 10 more level crossings by 2025, bringing the total to 85 level crossings gone for good.

Level crossing removed

We’re removing the level crossing at Dublin Road in Ringwood East by building a new train trench under the road.

This preferred design will work well with the topography and ground conditions and will maintain access to the Ringwood East shopping precinct from Dublin Road.

Removing this crossing will improve safety, reduce congestion, and allow more trains to run, more often.

The removal of this site will help to create a level crossing-free Lilydale line which will change how locals live, work and travel. With no level crossings on the train line, journeys on the Lilydale line will be faster and local roads safer.

A new station will be built at Ringwood East as part of the level crossing removal, with modern facilities for this community.

Site investigations will start in the coming months and construction will be completed by 2025.
