Level crossing removed

We’re removing the level crossing at Calder Park Drive in Calder Park by building a new road bridge over the rail line.

This preferred design means we can get rid of the crossing sooner and will be less disruptive for road and rail users during construction.

Removing this crossing will improve safety, reduce congestion, and allow more trains to run, more often.

The removal of this site will change how locals live, work and travel, and journeys on the Sunbury line will be faster and local roads safer.

Site investigations will start in the coming months and construction will be completed by 2025.

On behalf of the Victorian Government, the Level Crossing Removal Project is removing 85 dangerous and congested level crossings across Melbourne by 2025.
