Upcoming works on the Mernda Line

Colm. We’re removing 4 level crossings at Oakover Road, Bell Street, Cramer Street and Murray Road and building 2 new stations at Bell and Preston.

Colm. Sections of the Mernda Line will be closed at time so we can safely carry out work in the rail corridor while trains aren’t running. You can see the dates for the planned works on your screen.
Text. 7.40pm Friday 11 February to last train Sunday 13 February buses replace trains between Clifton Hill and Mernda.
Vision. Construction activities on our Preston project, including beam lifts and platform lifts.
Colm. Throughout this time we will continue our construction works to build the new Preston and Bell station platforms and stations, carry out signalling and track works and lift some of the elevated viaducts into place. Buses will replace trains and there may be some road and footpath closures while we carry out these works.
