Works notice – Site investigations at Camms Road, Cranbourne level crossing

16 Sep 2021

We’re getting on with the job of removing the dangerous and congested level crossing at Camms Road, Cranbourne.

The Camms Road, Cranbourne level crossing is set for removal by 2024, one year ahead of schedule, with a design to be announced this year.

As part of the planning stage of the project, we will be undertaking pre-construction site investigations around the Camms Road level crossing.

What to expect

  • Intermittently between Monday 6 September to Friday 29 October, site investigations will take place on Camms Road near the level crossing

  • The works may include localised drilling through the ground surface to test ground conditions, and other geo technical investigations

  • Intermittent lane closures and speed reductions in each direction along Camms Road with traffic management in place

  • All works will occur between Monday and Saturday from 7am to 5pm with some out works out of hours required at times.

How this will affect you

The works are not expected to be disruptive, however some activity and construction related noise may be noticeable from machinery.

Traffic and pedestrian management will be in place to help people move through the area, please follow the directional signage and stick to designated speed limits.
