Works notice – Drainage upgrades at Wells Road, Seaford
18 Jan 2022
The Victorian Government is removing 20 dangerous level crossings and building 13 new stations as part of a $4 billion upgrade of the Frankston Line that will improve safety, reduce congestion, and allow more trains to run more often.
As part of these works, the Kananook Train Storage Facility opened in May 2020 to provide essential overnight train storage and the daily services needed to keep trains running reliably.
We are continuing with works in early 2022, including upgrading drainage in the immediate area.
Works taking place
From 31 January to 21 February 2022 works to relocate drainage in and near the stabling facility will take place along sections of Wells Road and Miles Grove. This will require the temporary closure of Wells Road to through traffic. Access will be maintained to local homes and businesses, including for customers of local traders.
A detour will be in place on Wells Road from Seaford Road to Klauer Street.
Works will take place from 7am to 6pm Monday to Friday and from 7am to 1pm Saturdays. If any works are required outside these times, we will let you know.
What to expect

- Construction workers, vehicles and equipment on site
