We’re removing the dangerous and congested level crossing at Mt Derrimut Road by elevating the rail line over the road and building a brand new Deer Park Station and bus interchange.

After thorough planning and technical investigations, as well as community consultation, the final designs maximise active transport links and improve connections for the Deer Park community.

The accessible new hub combines different modes of transport including bus, train, car, pedestrian and bike within one precinct, allowing passengers to easily and safely connect to Melbourne’s CBD, surrounding suburbs and regional areas.

We acknowledge and pay our respects to the Wurundjeri Woiwurrung Cultural Heritage Aboriginal Corporation and thank them for their collaboration on the Deer Park Station and precinct design.

The level crossing will be gone and the new Deer Park Station open by 2024.
