Planning is well underway to remove the dangerous and congested Mt Derrimut Road level crossing.

We will remove the level crossing by elevating the rail over the road and build a brand new Deer Park station. Elevating the rail line will increase space below the tracks, connecting the north and south sides of the rail line and make it safer for drivers, pedestrians and cyclists to move around.

Major works will start in late 2021 and the level crossing will be removed in 2024.

In April and May 2021, we asked the Deer Park community and key stakeholders to provide feedback on what you value about the local area, how you move around and your station precinct design preferences.

You can read more about your feedback in our community consultation report.

The report highlights the key themes provided through the consultation feedback, which will been incorporated into our final designs and presented to the community later this year.
