Terms and Conditions have been developed online with the Victorian Commission for Gambling and Liquor Regulations conditions set out in the Gambling Regulation Act 2003 and Gambling Regulations 2015.


Carrum Scavenger Hunt

By submitting an entry into the ‘Carrum Scavenger Hunt’ you are giving your consent to the Level Crossing Removal Project (LXRP) Terms and Conditions.

  1. There is no entry fee for the competition.
  2. The competition will run from 9:00am on 29 June to 5:00pm on 21 July.
  3. The competition is open to current residents of Victoria over 18 years of age.
  4. To enter this competition, visit any trader shown on the Carrum Scavenger Hunt map during the July school holidays to find the hidden toy and collect at least three stickers. Fill in your name, phone number and email address and pop your map in the entry box located at any participating trader.
  5. All Carrum businesses in the station precinct were invited to participate in the competition. Participating businesses will have posters in shop windows and entry forms in store to identify their involvement in the promotion.
  6. One entry per receipt.
  7. LXRP will collect all completed entry forms from participating businesses before the winner is drawn.
  8. The winner will be drawn at random and notified by LXRP in writing or by phone via their nominated contact details provided on the entry form. The winner’s photographs may be taken and published in the Carrum community bulletin or LXRP social media pages.
  9. There will be first, second and third place prizes. First prize will receive gift vouchers valued at $30 from local traders. Second prize will receive gift vouchers valued at $20 from local traders. Third prize will receive gift vouchers valued at $10 from local traders.
  10. Upon notification by LXRP, a suitable arrangement will be made with the winner to pick up the prize.
  11. If the winner cannot be located within 28 days after the conclusion of the competition, an alternate winner will be drawn at random and notified through their contact details provided on the entry form.
  12. Validity of entries is at the sole discretion of LXRP. LXRP reserves the right to cancel all or any part of the competition where it becomes necessary to do so.
  13. LXRP shall not be liable for any loss or damage whatsoever which is suffered (including but not limited to indirect or consequential loss) or for any personal injury suffered or sustained in connection with the prize or the competition, except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law.
  14. Employees, contractors and suppliers of the LXRP are not eligible to enter this competition.

Broadway Trader Campaign Promotion

By participating in the Broadway Trader Campaign Promotion, you are giving your consent to the Terms and Conditions set by the Level Crossing Removal Project (LXRP) as follows:

  1. There is no entry fee for the promotion.
  2. The promotion is open to:
    1. current residents of Victoria only; and
    2. persons over the age of 16 or persons that have parent and/or guardian consent.
  3. The Promotion Period commences on 24 June 2019 and expires on:
    1. 12 July 2019; or
    2. Until all the reusable cups are given away.
  4. Participating Retailers include the following retailers located on or nearby Broadway, Reservoir:
    1. Broadway Newsagency
    2. Rick’s Barber Shop
    3. One Way Fresh Supermarket
    4. Tehor Supermarket
    5. Paradise Supermarket
    6. Kids on Broadway
    7. Barbers on Broadway

  5. To be eligible to enter the promotion, a person must:
    1. make a purchase from a Participating Retailer within the Promotion Period for a minimum of $20.00 in one transaction; and
    2. present the receipt as proof of purchase to a LXRP staff member at the LXRP Reservoir office, located at 978 High Street, Reservoir within business hours (Monday to Friday, between 10:00am and 5:00pm).
  6. The prize that a person may receive for validly participating in the promotion is a:
    1. [Reusable cup]; and
    2. [voucher from a participating cafe (Northside, Lady Bower, Café Qtee, Akkar Pastry or Hot Fresh Bakery) in Reservoir for the value of one coffee].
  7. The maximum number of times a person can receive the prize is once per day.
  8. Any voucher provided by LXRP is not redeemable for cash and cannot be resold or exchanged.
  9. LXRP is not liable for the loss or damage of reusable cups or vouchers. LXRP does not guarantee or warrant that each person that validly enters the promotion will receive a prize because the promotion is only valid while stocks last.
  10. Coffee vouchers must be redeemed in accordance with the validity period specified by the participating business.
  11. Employees, contractors and suppliers of LXRP are not eligible to enter this promotion.
  12. LXRP reserves the right to cancel all or any part of the promotion at its sole discretion.

Reservoir Easter Egg Hunt Competition

By submitting an entry into the Reservoir Easter Egg Hunt Competition, you are giving your consent to the Terms and Conditions set by the Level Crossing Removal Project (LXRP) as follows:

  1. There is no entry fee for the competition.
  2. The competition is open to:
    1. current residents of Victoria only; and
    2. persons over the age of 16 years old or persons that have parent and/or guardian consent.
  3. To enter the competition, a person must:
    1. Collect a minimum of 5 stickers on the Easter Egg Hunt Form (Form);
    2. Complete their name and email address on the Form; and
    3. Submit the completed Form at the LXRP information booth located at 978 High Street or outside the Reservoir Library between 10:00am and 2:00pm on:
      1. Tuesday 16 April 2019;
      2. Wednesday 17 April 2019;
      3. Thursday 18 April 2019; and
      4. Saturday 20 April 2019.
  4. The Easter Egg Hunt stickers can be collected from participating businesses on the following dates:
    1. Tuesday 16 April 2019 to Thursday 18 April 2019 (inclusive) for participating businesses on Broadway, Reservoir; and
    2. Tuesday 16 April 2019 to Saturday 20 April 2019 (inclusive) for participating businesses on Edwardes Street and Spring Street, Reservoir,

(together Participating Reservoir Businesses)

  1. Three winners will be drawn at random at 12:00pm on Monday 29 April 2019.
  2. Each winner will be notified by email on the same day.
  3. Each winner will need to provide their address to LXRP for delivery of the prize, or alternatively reach agreement with LXRP to collect the prize at an agreed time from the LXRP Reservoir Office, located at 978 High Street, Reservoir.
  4. If a winner does not respond to LXRP via email within five business days, an alternative winner will be drawn and notified through their email address.
  5. The first-place winner will receive $500 worth of vouchers to be used at Participating Reservoir Businesses.
  6. The second-place winner will receive $200 worth of vouchers to be used at Participating Reservoir Businesses.
  7. The third-place winner will receive a $50 Hoyts Cinemas Gift Card.
  8. LXRP is not liable for any vouchers being lost, damaged, uncollected or undelivered.
  9. Vouchers must be redeemed in accordance with the validity period specified by the participating business.
  10. Employees, contractors and suppliers of LXRP are not eligible to enter this competition.
  11. LXRP reserves the right to cancel all or any part of the competition at its sole discretion.

On the Bus Competition – Mernda line

By submitting an entry into the On the Bus competition you are giving your consent to the Terms and Conditions set forth by Level Crossing Removal Project.

  1. There is no entry fee for this competition.
  2. The competition is open to current residents of Victoria only. Identification of this will be required in order for prizes to be issued.
  3. Only one entry per person per competition will be allowed during the Mernda line competition.
  4. Entry to the competitions:
    1. is made via the prize box at either Thornbury or Watsonia stations.
    2. will close at 10:00pm Tuesday 9 April 2019.
  5. Winners will be drawn at random on or before Friday 12 April 2019.
  6. One winner will receive one nominated prize.
  7. Winners will be notified via their nominated contact details provided on the entry form, and may be announced on Twitter and Facebook.
  8. Employees, contractors and suppliers of the Level Crossing Removal Project are not eligible to enter this competition.
  9. Validity of entries is at the sole discretion of the Level Crossing Removal Project.

Reservoir Kite Festival

By submitting an entry into the Reservoir Kite Festival E-Update Competition, you are giving your consent to the Terms and Conditions set by the Level Crossing Removal Project (LXRP) as follows:

  1. There is no entry fee for the competition.
  2. The competition is open to current residents of Victoria only.
  3. The competition will run only from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm on Sunday 24 March 2019.
  4. To enter the competition, a person must submit their email address and tick ‘yes’ on an ‘e-update sign up form’ that is issued at the Reservoir Kite Festival. The completed ‘e-update sign up form’ must be provided to a LXRP staff member.
  5. Three winners will be drawn at random at 12:00 pm on Monday 25 March 2019.
  6. Each winner will be notified by email on the same day.
  7. Each winner will need to provide their address to LXRP for delivery of the prize, or alternatively reach agreement with LXRP to collect the prize at an agreed time from the LXRP Reservoir office, located at 978 High Street, Reservoir.
  8. If a winner does not respond to LXRP via email within 5 business days, an alternate winner will be drawn and notified through their email address.
  9. Each winner will receive a hamper sourced from participating local traders in Reservoir up to the value of $100.
  10. LXRP is not liable for any vouchers or hampers being lost, damaged, uncollected or undelivered.
  11. Vouchers and/or products must be redeemed in accordance with the validity period specified by the participating local trader.
  12. Employees, contractors and suppliers of LXRP are not eligible to enter this competition.
  13. LXRP reserves the right to cancel all or any part of the competition at its sole discretion.
  14. LXRP shall not be liable for any loss or damage whatsoever which is suffered (including but not limited to indirect or consequential loss) or for any personal injury suffered or sustained in connection with the prize or the competition, except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law.
  15. By entering the competition, each entrant consents to receive LXRP’s ‘e-updates’, including regular email updates from LXRP relating to the Reservoir Level Crossing Removal Project.

Ball Park Figure

By submitting an entry into the ‘Ball Park Figure’ competition you are giving your consent to the Terms and Conditions set forth by the Level Crossing Removal Authority (LXRA).

  1. There is no entry fee for the competition.
  2. The competition is open to current residents of Victoria only.
  3. To enter this competition, the participant must attend the Corridor Carnival event being held on Saturday 13 October 2018 (11:00 am to 3:00 pm) and complete the entry form. A valid entry form must include the participant’s name, contact details and guess for the number of table tennis balls in the vessel displayed. The completed entry form must be submitted in the entry box located at the Carnegie activity space on the day of the competition.
  4. The competition will run from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm on Saturday 13 October 2018.
  5. To win the competition, the participant must correctly guess the correct number of table tennis balls on the entry form.
  6. If multiple participants correctly guess the number of table tennis balls, the winner will be determined by drawing a winner at random from the pool of successful participants.
  7. In the case that no participant correctly guesses the number of table tennis balls in the vessel, the winner will be determined by selecting the closest guess.
  8. In the case that there are multiple participants with the closest guess, the winner will be determined by drawing a winner at random from the pool of successful participants.
  9. Multiple entries are not allowed.
  10. The winner will be notified by LXRA in writing via their nominated contact details provided on the entry form, and the winners and their photographs may be taken and published on the LXRA Twitter and Facebook accounts.
  11. The winner will receive the following prize: All the table tennis balls; and an additional four table tennis paddles.
  12. Upon notification by LXRA, the winner can pick up the prize at the Murrumbeena info hub, located at 444 Neerim Rd, Murrumbeena VIC 3163
  13. If the winner cannot be located within 28 days after the conclusion of the competition, the participant with the next closest guess after the winner will be selected as the alternate winner and notified through their contact details provided on the entry form.
  14. Validity of entries is at the sole discretion of LXRA. LXRA reserves the right to cancel all or any part of the competition where it becomes necessary to do so.
  15. Name the Bridge

By submitting an entry into Level Crossing Removal Authority’s ‘Name the Bridge’ competition (Competition) you acknowledge and agree to consent to the following terms and conditions.

1. Entry requirements
1.1 There is no entry fee for this Competition.
1.2 This Competition is open to current residents of Victoria only. Persons under 18 are welcome to enter with the permission of their parent or legal guardian. Groups are welcome to submit a joint entry. 
1.3 Entries into this Competition open on Monday 17 September 2018 and close at 11:59 pm Friday 5 October 2018 inclusive.
1.4 To enter this Competition, a person must submit a name for the new Station Street road bridge over the Patterson River to the Level Crossing Removal Authority (LXRA) and their rationale for selecting that name. The entry must be submitted by one of the following methods:
1.4.1 Complete a Competition form and submit that form at the collection box located at Carrum Train Station, Platform 1;
1.4.2 Complete a Competition form and mail that form to Patterson River Bridge Naming Competition, PO Box 345, Mentone, Victoria 3194; or
1.4.3 Complete the online entrance form at Your Level Crossing and submit that form in accordance with the instructions online.
1.5 Multiple entries from the same person are not permitted and will be disqualified from the competition.
1.6 Employees, contractors and suppliers of LXRA are not eligible to enter this Competition.
1.7 Validity of entries is at the sole discretion of LXRA. LXRA reserves the right to disqualify entries at any time.

2.Selection of the winner
2.1.The selection of the winner is at the sole discretion of LXRA.
2.2.Each entry will be judged by [a panel appointed by LXRA]. The panel will judge each entry by:
2.2.1.compliance with the Naming Rules of Places In Victoria (Naming Rules) published under the Geographic Place Names Act 1998 (accessible at https://www.propertyandlandtitles.vic.gov.au/naming-places-features-and-roads/naming-rules-for-places-in-victoria); and
2.2.2.the following criteria:
2.2.2.1 creative;
2.2.2.2 memorable;
2.2.2.3 adds value to the area;
2.2.2.4 relatable to the locality;
2.2.2.5 inclusive;
2.3.Where an entry is compliant with the Naming Rules and the panel has judged the entry as the winner, LXRA will notify the person or organisation through their contact details provided with the entry.
2.4 LXRA reserves the right to not select any of the entries as the winner for any reason that LXRA views as appropriate, including for reason of non-compliance with the Naming Rules.
2.5 The winner will be invited to attend the naming ceremony at the Patterson River bridge. Date and time will be confirmed closer to the event.
2.6 The winner and their entry may be published on LXRA’s Facebook and Twitter Pages or LXRA’s website for promotional purposes.
2.7 LXRA reserves the right to disqualify entries at any time, including entries that are offensive, discriminatory, racist and not in line with community values and expectations.
2.8 LXRA does not warrant or guarantee that the name selected as the winner of this Competition will become the name of the new bridge, including for the reason that the naming proposal is accepted or rejected by the Office of Geographic Names.
2.9 LXRA does not warrant or guarantee that the name proposed by LXRA to the Office of Geographic Names will be a name selected from this Competition, including for the reason that the entries do not comply with the Naming rules.

3.Liability
3.1. LXRA shall not be liable for any loss or damage whatsoever which is suffered (including but not limited to indirect or consequential loss) or for any personal injury suffered or sustained in connection with this Competition, except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law.

4.Privacy
4.1 Personal information collected, used and disclosed in connection with this Competition is subject to the Level Crossing Removal Authority Privacy Policy available on our privacy page.
4.2 Any entry to this Competition may be published on LXRA’s promotional materials, including through publishing the bridge name suggested in an entry on LXRA’s Facebook and Twitter pages and on LXRA’s website.

5.This Competition
5.1 LXRA reserves the right to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend all or any part of this Competition.
5.2 This promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administrated by, or associated with Facebook, Instagram or any other Social Network (Social Media Companies). Entrants understand and agree that they are providing their information to LXRA and not to the Social Media Companies. By entering this Competition, each entrant releases the Social Media Companies from any action or claim arising out of the Competition.


On the Bus Competition

Buckley Street Gazman Father’s Day Joke

By submitting an entry into the ‘Buckley Street Gazman Father’s Day Joke’ competition you are giving your consent to the Terms and Conditions set forth by the Level Crossing Removal Authority (LXRA).

  1. There is no entry fee for this competition.
  2. The competition is open to current residents of Victoria only with a current Facebook account.
  3. The competition will run from 5:00 pm Monday 27 August to 5:00 pm Wednesday 29 August 2018 inclusive.
  4. To enter this competition, a person must submit a written joke as a comment on the Facebook post announcing this competition that will be published on the LXRA Facebook page by 5:00 pm Wednesday 29 August 2018.
  5. Each entry will be judged individually on its merit.
  6. Multiple entries from the same person are not permitted and will be disqualified from the competition.
  7. One entry will be judged as the winner by a judge appointed by LXRA on 2:00 pm Thursday 30 August 2018. The criteria each entry will be judged against are:
    1. Originality;
    2. Creativity; and
    3. Humour.
  8. If in the instance two more jokes/entries are deemed similar or identical, the person who posts the entry first will be deemed the eligible entrant for that joke/entry.
  9. Validity of entries and the selection of the winner is at the sole discretion of LXRA. LXRA reserves the right to disqualify entries at any time.
  10. The winner will be notified by LXRA in writing via a private message on Facebook and asked to provide their residential address to issue the voucher to
  11. If the winner fails to respond to the private message on Facebook within 72 hours of the message being sent, an alternate winner will be awarded by LXRA. The alternate winner will be contacted in the same manner provided in Clause 9.
  12. The winner will need to provide their mailing details to LXRA via a private Facebook message, or alternatively reach agreement with LXRA to collect the voucher at an agreed time from the LXRA Essendon Info Hub, located at 20 Russell Street, Essendon.
  13. If the winner provides their mailing details to LXRA, the voucher will be delivered by registered post to the winner’s nominated mailing details. LXRA makes no guarantee the voucher will be delivered to the winner before Sunday 2 September 2018.
  14. The winner will receive a voucher sourced from Gazman, Essendon, for the total value of $250.
  15. The voucher must be redeemed in accordance with the validity period specified by Gazman Essendon.
  16. LXRA is not liable for the voucher being lost, damaged or undelivered.

Say YESsendon

By submitting an entry into the ‘Say YESsendon’ competition you are giving your consent to the Terms and Conditions set forth by Level Crossing Removal Authority (LXRA).

  1. There is no entry fee for this competition.
  2. The competition will run on a weekly basis from 25 July 2018 to 5:00 pm 31 August 2018 inclusive.
  3. To enter, a person must have spent $10 or more from a participating trader around Essendon Station precinct. For every $10 spent, the customer will receive one entry. The customer must fill out the entry form provided for each entry and place it in the entry box provided by LXRA.
  4. Entry to the competition is made at trader’s businesses at the point of purchase. Traders must then place their customers’ entry forms into the LXRA Shop Local competition box located at each participating trader’s store.  Entries will be collected from participating traders on Monday mornings.
  5. Three weekly winners will be drawn at random every Monday at 2:00 pm for the duration of the competition.
  6. All weekly winners will still be entered into the major prize draw.
  7. The major prize winner will be drawn at random at 2:00 pm on Monday 3 September 2018.
  8. Winners will be notified via their nominated contact details provided on the entry form, and may be announced on LXRA Twitter and Facebook.
  9. The business that the major prize winner entered at will win an Apple iPad valued at $500.
  10. Competition ends 5:00 pm Friday 31 August 2018.
  11. The weekly winners and the major prize winner will receive vouchers and/or products sourced from participating local traders ranging in value from $25 to $250. Businesses must have credit card facilities to be eligible to be chosen by the winner.
  12. Vouchers and/or products must be redeemed in accordance with the validity period specified by the participating local trader.
  13. Prizes can be collected at the Info Hub on Thursdays between 2:00 pm and 5:00 pm. Prizes must be collected by Friday 14 September 2018.
  14. The total prize pool value is $10,000.
  15. LXRA is not liable for entries or vouchers lost, damaged or undelivered.

Pooches of Noble Park

By submitting an entry into the ‘Pooches of Noble Park’ competition you are giving your consent to the Terms and Conditions set forth by the Level Crossing Removal Authority (LXRA).

  1. There is no entry fee for this competition.
  2. The competition is open to current residents of Victoria only.
  3. The competition will run from Monday 23 July 2018 to 5:00 pm Sunday 19 August 2018 inclusive.
  4. To enter this competition, a person must submit one image of their dog and fill out the online entry form on our Open Space Your Level Crossing page.
  5. Multiple entries are permitted, provided each entry uses a different photograph.
  6. Two winners will be drawn at random at 2:00 pm on Friday 24 August 2018.
  7. Each winner will be notified by LXRA in writing via their nominated contact details provided on the online entry form, and the winners and their photographs may be announced and published on the LXRA Twitter and Facebook accounts.

Win the ultimate makeover

By submitting an entry into the ‘Win the ultimate makeover’ competition you are giving your consent to the Terms and Conditions set forth by Level Crossing Removal Authority (LXRA).

  1. There is no entry fee for this competition.
  2. The competition will run on a weekly basis from 24 May 2018 to 5:00 pm 13 July 2018 inclusive.
  3. To enter, a person must have spent $10 or more from a participating trader on Young Street in Frankston. For every $10 spent, the customer will receive one entry.  The customer must fill out the entry form provided for each entry and place it in the entry box provided by LXRA.
  4. Entry to the competition is made at trader’s businesses at the point of purchase. Traders must then place their customers’ entry forms into the LXRA Shop Local competition box located at each participating trader’s store.  Entries will be collected from participating traders on Monday mornings.
  5. Three weekly winners will be drawn at random every Monday at 2.00 pm for the duration of the competition.
  6. All weekly winners will still be entered into the major prize draw.
  7. The major prize winner will be drawn at random at 2.00 pm on Monday 16 July 2018.
  8. Winners will be notified via their nominated contact details provided on the entry form, and may be announced on LXRA Twitter and Facebook.
  9. The weekly winners and the major prize winner will receive vouchers and/or products sourced from participating local traders ranging in value from $20 to $300. Businesses must have credit card facilities to be eligible to be chosen by the winner.
  10. Vouchers and/or products must be redeemed in accordance with the validity period specified by the participating local trader.
  11. Prizes can be collected at the Info Hub on Tuesdays between 9.00 am and 12 noon or Thursdays between 3.00 pm and 5.00 pm. Prizes must be collected by Friday 27 July 2018.

By submitting an entry into the ‘Test drive local business’ competition you are giving your consent to the Terms and Conditions set forth by the Level Crossing Removal Authority (LXRA).

  2. The competition will run from 1 July 2018 to 5:00 pm 31 July 2018 inclusive.
  3. To enter, a person must meet the conditions of entry of each type of business as set out below:
  • Car dealership (new and/or used): Test drive a car
  • Car wash: Purchase a car wash
  • Vehicle hire company: Hire a vehicle
  • Vehicle servicing business: Book in a vehicle service
  • Retail: Purchase valued at $20 or more
  1. Entry to the competition is made at the trader’s businesses at the point of purchase. The customer must fill out the entry form provided at the participating business . Traders must then place their customers’ entry forms into the LXRA Shop Local competition box located at each participating trader’s business.
  2. Entries will be collected from participating traders on Monday mornings.
  3. A winner from each business will be drawn at 2:00 pm on Friday 3 August 2018.
  4. Each business will be notified of their winner by LXRA.
  5. The business will contact the winner via their nominated contact details provided on the entry form.
  6. Each winner will receive a hamper valued at $100.
  7. Prizes can be collected at the participating business at a time mutually agreed upon between the business and the winner.
  8. The total prize pool value is $2000.

Passport to careers competition

  1. By submitting an entry into the Rail Careers Passport Competition (Competition), you accept these Terms and Conditions.
  2. There is no entry fee for the Competition.
  3. The Competition is only open to participants attending the Rail Careers Week event held at the Rail Academy Newport on 14 August 2018 and 15 August 2018.  Registration at the induction kiosk at the Rail Careers event may be used to prove attendance.
  4. Validity of entries is at the sole discretion of the Level Crossing Removal Authority (LXRA). LXRA reserves the right to disqualify entrants or entries at any time.
  5. Only one entry per person per day of attendance.  Multiple entries from the same person will be disqualified.
  6. Entry into the Competition:
    a. is made via submitting a Competition entry form in the prize box located in the meals room at the Newport Rail Academy; and
    . will close at 1:30 pm on the relevant day of attendance (e.g. 14 August 2018 or 15 August 2018).
  7. One winner will be drawn at random at 1:30 pm on each day of the Rail Careers Week event located in the meals room at Newport Rail Academy.  (e.g. 14 August 2018 and 15 August 2018).
  8. Winners of the Competition will receive a LEGO box up to the value of $60.00 (inc GST), which will be provided on the same day that the winner is drawn.
  9. Winners will be notified on the day they attend the Rail Careers Week event and in writing via their nominated contact details. Where the winner is not located on the day, they will be notified through their nominated contact details provided on the entry form, including through notifying their school.
  10. If the winner cannot be located within 28 days of the draw, a second winner will be drawn and notified through their nominated contact details provided on the entry form, including through notifying their school.
  11. Employees, contractors and suppliers of LXRA are not eligible to enter the Competition.

  1. By submitting an entry into the Competition you are giving your consent to these Terms and Conditions. Personal information will only be used to contact Competition winners.
