Caulfield to Dandenong area 3 Community update – October 2017
01 Oct 2017
Major works are underway to remove level crossings at Corrigan, Heatherton and Chandler roads and rebuild Noble Park station.
Getting it done
We’ve been very busy over the past month and have made some great progress at Noble Park. You would have noticed that we have installed beams over Heatherton, Corrigan and Chandler Roads, another step in the removal of these dangerous and congested level crossings.
The progress has not stopped there, we have now completed the installation of not only the Super T Beams, but also parapets, which will act as barriers along the elevated rail. We have also rebuilt the rail bridge over Mile Creek and continued construction of the retaining walls for the new embankment. Over the next month you will see us continuing with the installation of the new track on the elevated rail. We will also continue construction of the canopies, as well as concrete pouring.
New Noble Park Station
We’re progressing with the construction of Noble Park Station with the completion of the hollow core deck, which will form the base of the station platform. We’re now installing the canopynover the deck, and the new station is steadily taking shape.

- Buses will replace trains between Caulfield and Dandenong from 12:30am Saturday 18 November until the last service on Sunday 19 November 2017.
- Buses will also replace trains between Caulfield and Dandenong after 8:00pm on selected nights throughout November.
We appreciate your patience while we continue this important project to remove these dangerous and congested level crossings.
