Caulfield to Dandenong area 3 Community update – November 2017
01 Nov 2017
Major works are underway to remove level crossings at Corrigan, Heatherton and Chandler roads and rebuild Noble Park station.
What we’ve been doing
We’re continuing to meet major milestones at Noble Park. We’ve completed the installation of barriers along the elevated structure and have laid the first piece of track.
New Noble Park Station
Construction of the new Noble Park Station is well underway. We’ve put the finishing touches on the hollow core deck, installed the new station’s escalators and the first segments of the station canopy.
Over the coming months we’ll complete the installation of the station canopy and install the new station’s lifts. We’ll also start the construction of the new station building and begin cladding.
We’re working hard to minimise disruptions for residents, commuters, local businesses and shoppers wherever possible. However, there will be some disruptions including the following:
Until February 2018, Mons Parade will close intermittently between Heatherton Road and Ian Street, from 7:00am to 6:00pm daily. On-street car parking on Ian Street may be affected at times. Traffic will detour via Ian Street.
Buses will replace trains between Caulfield and Dandenong from 12.30am Saturday 9 December until the last service on Sunday 10 December.
Buses will replace trains between Oakleigh and Dandenong from 12:30am Saturday 16 December until the last service on Sunday 17 December.
We appreciate your patience while we continue this important project to remove these dangerous and congested level crossings.
