Caulfield to Dandenong area 2 Community update – October 2017
01 Oct 2017
Major works are underway to remove level crossings at Clayton and Centre roads and rebuild Clayton station.
Meeting major milestones
We’ve been very busy over the past month and have made great progress in Clayton. You would have noticed that we’ve now installed beams over Clayton and Centre Roads, another step in the removal of these dangerous and congested level crossings.
Over the next month you’ll see us continuing with the installation of the remaining barriers along the
elevated rail. We’ll also continue construction of the embankment and retaining walls.
New Clayton Station
We’re also progressing with the construction of Clayton Station. The hollow core
beams are now installed and the concrete pour for the deck is complete, which
will form the base of the station platform. The construction of the embankment
is also moving ahead.
