Upcoming disruptions in Edithvale, Chelsea and Bonbeach

01 Jul 2021

Last updated Tuesday 26 October 2021

As part of a $3 billion upgrade to the Frankston Line, we're removing 5 dangerous and congested level crossings from Edithvale to Bonbeach and building 3 new stations – one of our largest-scale projects to date.

These projects were initially planned to be completed at different times, which would have meant 2 sets of major road and rail disruptions.

To minimise disruptions, the projects are being removed at once and ahead of schedule with all level crossings gone and new stations open late 2021.

The construction team has planned these works to minimise disruptions to the local community by completing as much work as we could with the road and pedestrian connections open. We've now had to close these connections to complete major works by late 2021.

Changes to the way you travel

While major works are underway, there are changes to the way you travel around the area.
