Thank you for your patience while we worked around the clock in Carrum in July. While you were on the bus, more than 350 crew members worked more than 5000 hours to complete the following:
- removed the Station Street level crossing boom gates
- laid temporary rail track in Carrum to keep Frankston line trains running as works continue
- installed a new temporary pedestrian crossing across the rail line
- demolished the old Carrum Station.
Although trains are back up and running along the Frankston line, trains won’t stop at Carrum Station until the new modern station opens in early 2020.
A shuttle bus is operating between Seaford, Carrum and Bonbeach stations to connect locals to train services. Alternative parking is available nearby.
The new modern Carrum Station will make it safer and easier for locals to get to public transport, local shops and the beach.
