The Level Crossing Removal Project is a once-in-a-generation opportunity to change the way people live, work and travel.

Our goal is to deliver sustainable infrastructure that continues to support safe and healthy Victorian communities into the future.

How we deliver sustainable infrastructure

To achieve our goal, we focus on areas where we can have the greatest influence on sustainable outcomes:

  • using materials efficiently and implementing sustainable alternatives where possible
  • creating energy efficient infrastructure and minimising the energy used in construction
  • assessing climate change risks and reducing their impact through smart design
  • designing green space with people and wildlife in mind.

Every decision we make, from design to construction, is carefully considered. We lead the way in innovation, reusing good practices and applying the lessons we learn as we move from one project to another. We do all of this because our legacy will stay long after we leave.

We have released our Sustainability Snapshot for June 2023.
