The Level Crossing Removal Authority is working hard to remove 50 dangerous and congested level crossings across metropolitan Melbourne. In addition, the project will also involve upgrading signalling, stations and creating community legacies around the station precincts.
Some of these include open spaces, art installations and events like archaeological exhibitions and heritage projects. There are also the ongoing benefits of employment opportunities and environmental impacts. This section tells some of those stories.
