Carrum’s Indigenous heritage

Did you know Carrum is an area of cultural significance to the local Bunurong people? We have been working with the Bunurong Land Council to identify artefacts we find along the rail line.

Come chat to representatives from the Bunurong Land Council and our archaeologists about excavations we have conducted and the Indigenous heritage of the area.

The event will include a traditional Welcome to Country and didgeridoo performance.

When: Ceremony starts 10:00am to 1:00pm Saturday 2 February 2019.

Where: 15 Old Post Office Lane, Carrum VIC 3197. Next to the Carrum Surf Life Saving Club.

Ongoing opening hours: Tuesdays 9:00am to 12:00pm, Thursdays 3:00 to 7:00pm and the first Saturday of every month 10:00am to 1:00pm
