Edithvale, Chelsea and Bonbeach – impacts to pedestrian crossings
We’ve heard the pedestrian rail crossings in Edithvale, Chelsea and Bonbeach are important to how the local community moves around.
Disruptions to pedestrian access will be minimised, however there will be some unavoidable impacts to pedestrian crossings throughout construction.
We’ll also ensure clear signage on the ground to help locals move safely through the area.
The latest information on pedestrian crossings closures can be found below.

- Further pedestrian crossing closures will be added to the schedule as required.
- Contractors working on behalf of other authorities may also undertake closures of pedestrian crossings.
New walking and cycling connections
As part of our works to remove five dangerous and congested level crossings between Edithvale and Bonbeach, we’re making it safer and easier for you to access the things you love about your local area, including public transport, local shops and the beach.
