Cardinia Road, Pakenham – temporary road closure

Cardinia Road, Pakenham will be closed between Shearwater Drive and Henry Road from 9pm Friday 21 February to 5.30am Monday 24 February to allow for level crossing removal works to take place. Vehicle, pedestrian and cyclist detours will be in place during this time.

Buses also replace trains on parts of the Cranbourne and Pakenham lines.

Vehicle detours

Vehicles can detour via the Princes Highway, Station Street, Bridge Road, Princess Highway and McGregor Road. See detour map below or check out our interactive map.

Shearwater Drive and Arena Parade will not be affected by these works.

To keep you and our crew safe while we work, reduced speed limits and detours will be in place.

Please follow the direction of traffic controllers and signs while moving through the area.

Pedestrian and cyclist detours

The pedestrian crossing on the eastern side of Cardinia Road will also be closed from Friday 21 February and reopen on Monday 24 February.
