Life at LXRP

At the Level Crossing Removal Project (LXRP), we recognise that our people are critical to our ability to deliver business outcomes, and understand that a holistic approach is required to develop and retain our people. We offer a range of benefits to bring our vision to life.

Balancing work and life

We understand that work/life balance is an important part of our employees' lives. That's why we have a wide range of flexible work arrangements, such as:

  • working from home
  • flexible working hours
  • generous leave provisions, including the 44/52 model of employment.

Learning and development

We want you to grow, develop and learn with us. LXRP provides you with access to a range of internal and external learning and development opportunities to support your job performance and further your career aspirations.

LXRP also has access to a wide variety of opportunities provided by the Department of Jobs, Precincts and Regions, with an extensive range of personal and professional development programs designed to develop our people and their careers.

Safety and wellbeing

At LXRP, our approach to safety and wellbeing is integrated. This means we believe that in order to be safe, we need to be well, and in order to be well, we need to be safe.

Our vision for safety and wellbeing at LXRP is everyone safe and well, everywhere, every day.

We offer comprehensive safety and wellbeing programs to support employees in maintaining their health, safety and wellbeing.

Our values

The CARES values articulate what's really important to us at LXRP.

They are essential and enduring principles that guide our behaviours, actions and decisions.

Creativity – Innovate, learn, share
Accountability – Passion, promise, deliver
Relationships – Connect, listen, engage
Empowerment – Lead, decide, act
Safety – Everyone, everywhere, every day

We are committed to recognising people for their contributions; the LXRP CARES Awards is one way that outstanding performance is recognised and celebrated.

Diversity

At LXRP, we know that our strength and success lies in the diversity of our people.

For us, 'diversity' means all the ways in which employees differ, and the valuable contribution that these differences bring to our work.

Our broad diversity program enables us to attract, recruit, retain and develop a diverse workforce; fostering greater innovation, greater customer connection, increased wellbeing and satisfaction, and the ability to attract and retain talented people during times of economic change.

LXRP is an equal opportunity employer and welcomes applicants from a diverse range of backgrounds. We strongly encourage applications from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, and offer reasonable adjustments for applicants with disabilities on request.

Doing our part – positive environmental impact

At LXRP we care about doing our bit to keep our planet a sustainable and green place to live. We are committed to reducing environmental impacts in the workplace through both staff behaviour change and infrastructure upgrades. To find out more about our commitment to the environment, read our sustainability policy.

LXRP was recently recognised for its contribution in the area of climate change, being awarded the United Nations Association of Australia (UNAA) Infrastructure Innovation for a Strong Climate Future Award.
