Construction of a bridge deck will start on the Burke Road level crossing from 6pm Friday 18 September until 6am Monday 28 September.
In order for this work to be done safely and efficiently, there will be closures and disruptions to roads and public transport during this 10 day period.
Burke Road will be closed at the level crossing intersection in Glen Iris, from the evening of Friday 18 September until before 6am on Monday 28 September. Detours will be in place and motorists are advised to seek alternative routes.
Glen Waverley trains
Buses will replace trains on the Glen Waverley rail line between Burnley and Darling from the first service on Monday 21 September until the last service on Friday 25 September. An express shuttle bus will operate between Darling and Caulfield Stations for customers to access the Frankston/Pakenham/Cranbourne line or access City bound trains.
Journey times may be extended by around 30 minutes. Train services will operate as normal on the weekends.
Route 72 trams
Buses will replace Route 72 tram services between Stop 43 Glenferrie Road/Malvern Road and Stop 70 Camberwell from Saturday 19 September until Sunday 27 September. Some stop changes will apply.
