The TRY Build crew that helped with construction

An information hub for people to find out more about the Camp Road level crossing removal project and career opportunities in the construction industry has opened in Campbellfield.

The brand new hub was built by TRY Build, a social enterprise helping young people facing barriers to education or employment learn new skills, gain a qualification and get a job.

The Community Info Hub, where visitors can network with industry experts, is located at 20 Thompson Street, off Sydney Road.

It is open Monday to Friday, 9:00am to 5:00pm, with staff on hand to field enquiries.

Camp Road is one of northern Melbourne’s busiest east-west arterial roads, carrying about 20,000 vehicles per day. The project to replace the level crossing with a rail underpass is almost half way through and is due to be complete in early 2018. Major work is continuing with road and rail closures planned in coming months.

For more information about the Camp Road level crossing removal project visit the new Info Hub or the Camp Road web page.
