Locals checking out the finalised design for the new Rosanna Station at a pop up event on Tuesday 26 September

From 8:30pm on Friday 6 October, the existing Rosanna Station will close and in its place a brand new station will be built, opening in March 2018.

As part of the Lower Plenty Road level crossing removal, the new Rosanna Station will include elevated platforms and other improved facilities at ground level.

On 26 September, the project team hosted a community pop-up session to announce the final design of the new station and unveil how aspects were informed by feedback from the local community.

By the time the new station reopens for passengers in March 2018, the Lower Plenty Road level crossing will have been removed, making communities safer and getting commuters in Melbourne’s north east home sooner.
