The Toorak Road level crossing is one of Victoria’s worst. The boom gates disrupt the flow of traffic for the 39,000 vehicles that drive through the level crossing each day and can be down for up to 45 minutes in the morning peak.
The Toorak Road, Kooyong project is still in the very early planning stage and a construction start date is not yet set.
Community feedback is a critical part of the Level Crossing Removal Project and will help inform the development of design options. There will be numerous opportunities to get involved and provide feedback as the project progresses.
